Goals:
This class is for our youngest learners that are looking to get an introduction to the language. Begin their experience of speaking, listening, reading, and writing proficiency in Spanish.
Class Description:
Emphasis is on communicating in Spanish through speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students also study Latin American and/or Spanish culture and geography, and some history. Students will participate in individual, paired, group and class activities as well as complete written and oral exercises to practice new vocabulary. Students will also write stories in Spanish and practice speaking and listening proficiency throughout the year. Understand the cultures of the Spanish-speaking countries. Many of the teaching techniques in this class appeal to our youngest learners using games, songs, and movement.
Requirements:
I only ask that students always give their best faith effort and have a positive attitude in class! No student will ever be punished or penalized for not pronouncing a word or for a misspelling. Learning a language is hard work but very rewarding! I just ask for 100% from all my students!
