Our English/Language Arts classes utilize a variety of curriculum in order to reach every learner. Wonders, Spectrum, and Newmark are at the core, however our teachers have the freedom to bring in additional resources in order to reach the individual learner.
In this two term course, your student will cover all of the standards required by the State of California. In our classes, we focus on introduction and understanding as opposed to mastery. We understand that concepts will be reintroduced throughout each students academic career.
Our classes are kept small in order to provide the individual attention each student needs and blended grades allow for more leveled groups within the class. We are able to reach those that need more assistance as well as those that require a bit more challenge.
**You do not have to attend any other class(es) at Oku in order to take this class.
