All students, staff, and instructors will attest that they (and their live-in family members) are fever and symptom free.
If a student, staff member, or instructor develops a temperature or shows signs of illness, they will leave the classroom and be sent home.
Students, staff, and volunteers who have any of the following symptoms (Covid or non-Covid) should stay home: fever, cough, shortness of breath, muscle or body aches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion, nausea, diarrhea, or vomiting. *Please DO NOT give your child medicine to subdue symptoms to attend classes
Lunches will be staggered to ensure
All student-contacted items (desks, tables, chairs, equipment, handrails, restroom facilities, etc.) will be disinfected throughout the day and all students and staff will use hand sanitizer upon entering the classroom.
Due to the size of our campus and the vast difference in the ages of our students that attend each day, our snack and lunch times will be staggered. While one set of students enjoys lunch indoors, the second half will be outside. Halfway through break, the kids will switch. This will happen for snack and lunch. In the event of rain or inclement weather, students will remain in their classrooms.
For our Tuesday/Thursday students, they will proceed to the classroom of the class they would take after lunch, and they will eat at their desk (at an appropriate physical distance from one another).
Masks will be optional when outdoors. If you wish for your student to wear a mask, you may instruct them to do so, but our teachers and staff will not be enforcing mask wearing while outside of the classroom.
Hand washing will be strongly encouraged both before and after lunch.
If you or someone in your home tests positive for Covid-19:
Please notify one of our campus Directors immediately.
The Program Director will contact the Orange County Department of Health and will comply with their specific instructions.
All students, staff, and instructors will also comply with guidelines for quarantine and for when they may return to campus if they test positive for Covid-19.
We will only close our campus if we are mandated to do so by the Orange County Department of Health.
*All policies are subject to change in the event that the State and Public Health requirements and/or Charter requirements change.
